Gallery: PHOTOS: The Chevy MiRay Conce...

During our coverage of the 2012 North American International Auto Show in Detroit this week, we came upon the sexy Chevy MiRay Concept, a lovely little ride that actually debuted several months ago at the 2011 Seoul Auto Show in Korea. The Miray is an extended-range EV just like the Chevy Volt, but as you can see the sheetmetal on the outside is a lot sportier. With lovely curved taillights and a rear end reminiscent of Lamborghini convertibles, this was one green car we couldn't resist bringing you before we signed off in Detroit.

The designers who crafted the exterior and interior of the MiRay stopped by the stand to pose with the car while we were visiting, so we snapped a few photos of them by their creation while we were there. What do you think of the MiRay? If it’s as similar to the Volt as promised, expect a 40-mile range on electric power alone, or 100 miles total range with the backup generator. We hope that GM is planning to put the Volt guts in all sorts of sporty green vehicles, which would hopefully pack a bigger punch as battery technology improves. Think electric Camaro, for starters.
