Gallery: ReTech’s Industrial-Inspired Lamps are Made from 95% Salvaged ...

The only new elements are the low-voltage high output LEDs as opposed to traditional bulbs.

We love showcasing great designs made out of salvaged materials here at Inhabitat, like these striking recycled lamps from ReTech. Created out of an estimated 95 percent reused items, each piece is a one off, completely unique lamp, sustainably crafted by using repurposed objects. The only new elements to each lamp are the low-voltage, high output LEDs.

These quirky designers tell a futuristic tale of their craft, working under the idea that they are using discarded remnants from the past. As each lamp is a combined collection of assembled parts, each design is an amalgamation of industrial objects which are pieced together in unconventional ways, creating something new and innovative. These green designs are awesome, attention-grabbing pieces with a history that would add a bit of eco flair to any space.

Just a quick note: ReTech is not the work of multiple designers. It is the singular vision of Ash. From site design to the functional art pieces, it’s all just one person. Thank you for the write up!
