Gallery: Ryan Frank Debuts No Screw, No Glue “Glitch” Bamboo Furniture ...

Designer Ryan Frank just debuted his first collection of office furniture at Barcelona Design Week 2012. Dubbed Glitch, the line is constructed without the use of glue or screws, allowing it to be easily disassembled so that the materials can be recycled or reused at the end of their life.

The Glitch Desk has a steel frame with a smooth, solid bamboo work surface. Above the desk surface sits a natural cork pinboard with a steel arm that can be used to hang coats, bags and helmets. The Glitch Shelf, also steel framed, has four bamboo shelves. A set of industrial hooks hang from the top shelf from a strip of jute webbing.

Ryan Frank is a South African born furniture designer who works in London and Barcelona. He is one of the industry’s leading sustainable designers and is renowned for his edgy free-range furniture.

Glitch is a limited-edition collection, so contact Ryan Frank for sales and distribution information.
