Israeli architects Schwartz Besnosoff and SO Architecture recently unveiled the winning entry in a competition to design Jerusalem’s new Museum of Nature and Science. The new building will be dynamic and interactive, featuring green roofs, climbing walls, a water cascade and plenty of natural light and ventilation.

According to the architects, the new Museum of Nature and Science in Jerusalem will be an open structure capable of communicating with the surrounding environment. It will consist of a series of interconnected single-story buildings with large windows that will flood the interior with natural light. Each space will be flexible and adaptable to change, and each will have a different atmosphere according to the exhibit.

There will be galleries, offices, a conference center, study areas, labs and even a planetarium inside. A green roof, themed parks and even a climbing wall will be installed, and a water cascade will drop from the roof flowing as a canal that will go through different sections creating a brilliant visual attraction and bringing light and humidity into the building.
