Gallery: Seo Young Deok’s Larger...

Really, this is some of the most astonishing work we have ever seen!

Deok is particularly interested to portray the modern human’s plight in the context of industrialization. His larger-than-life nude sculptures, painstakingly welded out of used chains, portray sometimes broken, often people, using a material that exemplifies our mechanized world. Taking inspiration from the British artist Anthony Gormley, Deok has personified our struggles in the most beautiful way we have ever seen. Please go to his website, where you will find dozens of images of this exhaustive body of upcycled work.
