Gallery: Shoreditch Design Triangle Stands Tall at London Design Week

In a collaborative installation with Boskke, Thorsten van Elten shows designer André Klauser’s Mechano Chair, inspired by industrial shelving.

Sara Wright Polmar’s Peggy consists of pegs of varying lengths and colors and wooden board. The pegs can be re-arranged in different design schemes to create a unique and multi-functional piece of furniture.

Oscar Narud’s Keel Seat looks to the Norwegian furniture tradition of simple assembly and local materials. This stool/side table is assembled by wedging two planks together, providing construction stability and easy storage when taken apart.

These Danish Modern classics by Jens Risom have been re-fabricated by UK furniture makers, Benchmark.

The furniture makers at Benchmark collaborated with the Tramshed event on a pop-up woodworking studio to show British craftsmanship at work.

Veronika Wildgruber’s trompe l’oeil Soft Wood series illustrates the way in which wood can be soft and comfortable while still serving a functional purpose through structure.
