Stripe House is a Brightly Lit Urban Live/Work Townhouse in The Netherlands

    Stripes are the new black, so this townhouse in Leiden, The Netherlands is totally hip. The <a href="http://www.gaaga.nl/project/stripe-house" target="_blank">Stripe House</a> is encased in a handmade plaster facade and is brightly daylit from a host of windows. Designed by Dutch firm <a href="http://www.gaaga.nl/" target="_blank">GAAGA</a>, the compact home doubles as an office and is very energy efficient by design.

    <a href="http://www.gaaga.nl/project/stripe-house" target="_blank">Stripe House</a> by <a href="http://www.gaaga.nl/" target="_blank">GAAGA</a> is located in a new urban planning area of Leiden where clients can develop their own houses.

    Sited on a corner lot near a park, the home does its best to make the best of the compact plot.

    At three stories tall, the home creates space with vertical floor area, but still retains a small garden space from which to enjoy the sun and the neighborhood.

    This small enclosed garden provides a soft transition from public to private space as well as a distance from the neighboring houses.
