VillaLola by ArkisThis picturesque VillaLóla house by <a href="http://www.ark.is/">ARKIS</a> overlooks a fjord in <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eyjafj%C3%B6r%C3%B0ur">Eyjarfjördur</a>, Iceland - one of the most serene places on earth. VillaLóla was inspired by Swiss mountains and Japanese architecture, although the breathtaking design was carefully conceived to complement its surrounding landscape. The building's three peaks point towards the sky to form a valley between the angles of the roof, echoing the mountains that surround the fjord.1
VillaLola by Arkis<a href="http://www.ark.is/">ARKIS</a> sought to accentuate the natural beauty of the region, which is flooded with light and color.2
