Caterpillar House-Feldman ArchitectureLocated in the <a href="http://www.santaluciapreserve.com/conservation_land_community_carmel_monterey" target="_blank">Santa Lucia Preserve</a> outside of Carmel, the Caterpillar House is the only LEED Platinum house on the central coast of California. Designed by <a href="http://www.feldmanarchitecture.com/work/caterpillar" target="_blank">Feldman Architecture</a>, the long, low ranch house was built to be environmentally-conscious in response to the beautiful site. Featuring a rammed earth wall, natural ventilation, daylighting, solar power and rainwater harvesting, this striking home has a strong connection with the landscape.1
