Gallery: The Mushiki Modular Storage Cabinet is Positively Steamy


The Mushiki storage system is a simple cabinet that has been inspired by a traditional Japanese cooking vessel. Designed by Spanish designer Tomas Alonso, the large, circular-shaped containers are constructed from sustainable bamboo reminiscent of its inspiration, or an Indian tiffin box. Modular in make, you can stack one upon the other to form one very smart and stylish storage unit.

    Joe Columbo did this in the 1970s and then it was and then Gricic re-did it again in another color in the 1980s, must be time for the noughties revival. This is just another ‘looks a bit like’ design from a ‘makes things that look a bit like’ designer.
