The Solar-Powered Info-point is self-supporting kiosk that uses the latest technology to keep people connected — all while harnessing clean energy from the sun for power. The system consists of two modules; the first, a main module with touch screens and chargers, and the second, a cross-shaped bench for rest. Both of modules have integrated solar panels that provide power for the screens, USB charging ports, and the LED lamps that keep the info-point illuminated at night. The idea behind the info-point is to create a place where visitors to a city can find information about events and places, and be educated on the local culture and history. The Solar Powered Info-point was developed by Ekaterina Shchetina, Desislava Ivanova and Tsuyoshi Sogabe, specifically for Expo 2015, which will be held in Milan, Italy.
