This smart Upcycle Ottoman by Gus* Modern is made of repurposed jute bags that were once used to carry organic fair trade certified coffee. Produced in a limited quantity, each piece is unique and shows the branding and markings of the bags used in the process. No word if they still carry that wonderful coffee scent, but you can still identify which company produced the beans and where they came from.

What a really cool idea! I’ve been thinking about what you could do with salvaged fabric from things like backpacks, laptop cases, and maybe even shoes- a lot of good material gets thrown away when the only thing wrong with it was the zipper.
Looks really nice.
No idea where to buy it though. Hopefully they wont charge a ton for it which what they usually do, defeats the purposed of buying recycled items.
Yes a cool idea, but not really green or eco friendly, GUS manufacturers in CHINA then ships to Canada via container in an oil fueled tanker, then ships again to dealers across the continent-thats quite the carbon footprint.
Glad you think it’s great looking. If you want to purchase this they have it available for sale at 2Modern for $425. A little pricey just like mandarin predicted, but the design is great and if you have extra material around you can probably just make your own.
