Recently Chetwood Architects unveiled a stunning proposal for a futuristic London Bridge that sprouts a towering vertical farm in the midst of the Thames river. You do things when the opportunities come along. I’ve had periods in my life when I’ve had a bundle of ideas come along, and I’ve had long dry spells. If I get an idea next week, I’ll do something. If not, I won’t do a damn thing.

Vertical Growing makes total sense! Especially when it’s water efficient. The first vertical growing pilot project is underway RIGHT NOW! At a U,K Zoo the food grown in on site vertical crops is providing healthy, local food for the animals. The technology is called VertiCrop and it uses 5% of the water that traditional crops use, and can produce up to 20X more yield in a fraction of the space! Fantastic bridge in every sense of the word. Sure to put London England on the map of eco tourism and as vanguard of sustainability. We need more competitions of this nature, and the good will to build the structure, around the world.
