Designer Willem Heeffer transformed 36 oil cans into a fantastic series of lights for a new restaurant in Helsinki, Finland. After salvaging the drums from a local oil recycling center, Heeffer — an artist whose work typically explores urban public space — cleaned them out and reinvented them as a cool collection of vintage-looking shades!
Installed amidst the awesome interior of the Midhill restaurant, the lamps help set off the atmospheric space created by designers Martina Rosenqvist and Vera Öller. They took inspiration from Heeffer’s designs, matching the color scheme of the restaurant to the recycled lamps, helping to create a fantastic dining space for clients to enjoy.
