Forte - Render - External - Street autumn (Lend Lease)Australia's first high-rise <a href="http://inhabitat.com/tag/timber-construction/" target="_blank">timber</a> building, <a href="http://www.forteliving.com.au" target="_blank">Forte Development,</a> is currently under construction and it is set to be the tallest of its kind. Located in <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Melbourne" target="_blank">Melbourne's</a> Victoria Harbour, the building uses an innovative building product called Cross Laminated Timber (CLT) to keep the construction process clean and green. When it is finally completed in October of this year, the tower will stand 10 stories high and will feature 23 residential apartments and four townhouses.1
