Dubai has the knack of adopting green technologies and integrating them into sustainable development projects, giving rise to marvels like Rotating Wind Power Tower, DuBiotech, High-Tech Cybertechture, and many more. The latest project to appear on the horizon is Xeritown, an urban complex designed to work in harmony with the environment of the region through site specific and climate sensitive architecture and planning.

    I love to watch dubai from a distance, I would never go there though even If I had all the money in the world.

    Dubai is like a trap, you can get arrested for anything there. But I must admit its exciting to see what they are building there.

    How absurd. Dubai is the most unsustainable environmental hazard I can think of. To call this complex sustainable is purely a marketing gimmick.

    hi,i’m an architect from bangalore,have been practising in an indo swiss firm for the past 3 years,i’ll soon be moving to dubai and ‘am currently on a lookout for a good firm ,my area of interest is sustainable architecture,
    thats what we’ve been doing here…we are also doing a couple of projects involving rammed earth techniques
    do you know of any firm in dubai who are into sustainable architecture in a big way .
    does anyone have any contcts or info …plz help.
