Gallery: Yo Shimada’s Yamasaki House is a Light-Filled Modern Home

 
Architect Yo Shimada from Tato Architects designed and built this beautiful daylit house in Yamasaki, Japan. Spotted on JA+U (Japan Architecture+Urbanism), the house is grounded in the idea of capturing natural light and allowing it to reach all corners of the interior. Drawing inspiration from agricultural greenhouses, Shimada has created a living space bathed in sunlight.

    One question, why rectangles and squares when less material and more usuable space is achieved eliptically and spherical.
