Power House Building RenovationAs part of the Yankee Stadium Redevelopment Project, the Power House Building received a green roof and LEED Gold renovation, turning it into a mixed-use and energy-efficient facility. Located in Mill Pond Park along the Harlem River, the Power House Building originally supported the food refrigeration warehouse at the Bronx Terminal Market, but now holds locker rooms, a cafe and tennis clubhouse for the new park facilities. On December 20th, NYC Parks & Recreation announced that the renovated facility received LEED Gold certification, which awarded their energy and water efficient strategies as well as a fancy new green roof.1
