Robert Konieczny of Polish firm KWK Promes' goal was to design a home for any family for any shaped or sized site. His research resulted in the Standard Home, a prefabricated two-story round house that can be adapted to accommodate every family. KWK Promes built the first of the Standard homes at Pszczyna, Poland and also has plans to build one in Berlin. This three bedroom home is sustainably built from natural materials, has a high performance envelope and uses renewable energy.
