Lamps have always fascinated Scandinavian designers. One of the reasons for this can be attributed to their vast exposure to the distinctive, soft light that comes with their dark Nordic winters. Hanging from a modular metal structure at Copenhagen’s <a title="One Hundred Danish Pendants Shine at Copenhagen Design Week 2011" href="http://kglteater.dk/OmTeateret/Scenerne/Skuespilhuset.aspx" target="_blank">Royal Danish Playhouse</a> shines the exhibition <a title="One Hundred Danish Pendants Shine at Copenhagen Design Week 2011" href="http://www.copenhagendesignweek.com/category/design-zone/events/still-light" target="_blank">Still Light</a>, a collection of 100 inspiring pendants by Danish companies and independent designers. As part of <a title="One Hundred Danish Pendants Shine at Copenhagen Design Week 2011" href="http://www.copenhagendesignweek.com/" target="_blank">Copenhagen Design Week 2011</a>, the exhibition features brilliant sustainable lamps with a focus on new materials, easy transportation, energy-efficiency and repurposed standard components.
