Portrait of Steve Jobs Made With Over 3,500 Apples

With the recent passing of Steve Jobs, people have honored his great accomplishments in many different ways. However, a <a href="http://www.ville.mont-saint-hilaire.qc.ca/site/pages/Culture/Land-art.aspx">Land Art contest</a> held at Mont-Saint-Hilaire in Quebec, Canada from the 12th to 16th of October inspired a new way to pay homage. Artist <a href="http://www.olivierlefebvre.com/">Olivier Lefebvre</a> changed his original entry idea to create a huge portrait of Jobs using 3,500 apples.

Lefebvre used the image from Time magazine as a guide for his portrait of Steve Jobs.

Lefebvre used a 2' x 2' grid system to loosely guide his artistic creation.

3,500 red and green deer apples make up the enormous Jobs portrait.

The portrait took between 40 to 50 hours to complete.

The landart was appropriately formed in an orchard field where the deer will likely eventually consume the piece.

The final portrait of Steve Jobs measures 22' x 15'.
