We don't hide our love for shipping containers or cool, sustainable art projects, but holdUP Architecture's unique marriage of the two really grabbed us when we first saw it in 2011. Spotted over on Arch Daily, the team's "From Off to On" interactive UV art installation involves little more than an upcycled shipping container, a UV pen and drawing table inside, a theremin interface that detects human magnetic fields, and a whole lot of darkness. Step on in for mind-bending images and more details about how this fascinating project works.
