The brilliant "Key Frames" light installation lit up the night in Lyon, France with a choreographed display of over 60 illuminated stick figures. Conceived by French art and design studio Groupe LAPS, the dynamic creation was originally unveiled at the Fête des Lumieres 2011, although since then the display has traveled around the world. Made from low-energy LED light tubes, the troop of stick figures flashes on and off in time to original music composed especially for the installation.

Keeping sustainability at the heart of the artwork, Groupe Laps uses LED light for each of their performances, re-using the same materials every time.

The LED figures appear to dance as the lights flicker on and off in time to music.

Key Frames is more than just an illuminating light installation - the figures also serve as stand-alone sculptures demonstrating various positions of the human body.

The team has also created a short 3D movie to present the live performance, and the installation was most recently featured at iLight Marina in Singapore.
