Stunning Finnish Micro-Cabin Built For Just $10,500!

<a href="http://tinyhouselistings.com/robins-micro-house/">Robin Falck</a> became tired of daydreaming about building his dream home, so he set about creating his very own lakeside <a href="http://inhabitat.com/stunning-swedish-treehotel-opens-this-weekend/cabin_02/">cabin</a> in the beautiful Finnish countryside. The design had to be small enough to be built without a permit (which in <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Finland">Finland</a> is a humble 96 - 128 sq. ft). After sketching out some ideas and enlisting the help of an architect, construction began in the summer of 2010 - and the project was finished within a couple of weeks for just $10,500! The result is this stunning and simple micro-cabin which Falck has lovingly termed 'Nido' - Italian for bird's nest.

At the lower end of the scale at just 96 sq. ft., the space is a cozy home with a loft big enough to use as a bedroom and store Falck's clothes.

The lounge and living area of the bottom floor is a simple area to relax and enjoy the surrounding views.

Falck ensured the compact cabin has views across the lake from both floors and is bathed in natural light.
