Craft System Robot Lights by UM ProjectNow in its second year running, <a href="http://2012.wanteddesignnyc.com/">Wanted Design</a> is an international exhibition of some of the best and brightest minds in design - and this year's show during <a href="http://inhabitat.com/new-york-design-week">New York Design Week</a> didn't disappoint with its remarkable array of green furniture, beautiful lighting solutions, and cleverly conceived products. We were thrilled to see some of our favorite green designers unveil new projects - like <a href="http://umproject.com/">UM Project</a>'s robot lights and <a href="http://www.davidtrubridge.com/">David Trubridge</a>'s aluminum coral lamps - and we were wowed by several fresh new designs like a <a href="http://inhabitat.com/grassy-picnyc-table-brings-al-fresco-dining-to-your-living-room/">living grass table</a>, a series of <a href="http://inhabitat.com/?attachment_id=387476?extend=1">recycled taxi cab lamps</a>, and a <a href="http://inhabitat.com/?attachment_id=387476?extend=1">gigantic chair made entirely from LEGO bricks</a>!1
Craft System Modular Robot Lights by UM ProjectInhabitat favorite Francois Chambard of <a href="http://umproject.com/">UM Project</a> unveiled an adorable army of modular robots made from a standardized lighting unit. The quirky bots range from a miniature terrarium to retro robot lamps and even a sci-fi sound-generating theremin!2
picNYC Grass Table by Haiko CornelissenThis lush living <a href="http://inhabitat.com/grassy-picnyc-table-brings-al-fresco-dining-to-your-living-room/">picNYC Table</a> by <a href="http://www.haikocornelissen.com/">Haiko Cornelissen</a> brings a burst of green to any room. The USA-made aluminum table features a planter bed that can be used to grow grass, flowers, or even herbs - for a new take on farm-to-table eating.3
Recycled Taxi Lamps by Off Duty No MoreGuilhem de Castelbajac scours old garages and auto repair shops for defunct taxis, and then transforms their beacons into awesome accent lights! Dubbed <a href="http://www.facebook.com/OffDutyNoMore">Off Duty No More</a>, his collection of recycled taxi lamps are fitted with low-energy LED lights and set upon bases that mimic the hoods of cars.4
Giant Lego Chair by Alessandro JordaoAlessandro Jordao unveiled a larger-than-life chair made entirely from <a href="http://inhabitat.com/tag/lego/">LEGO bricks</a>!5
Colander Lamp by Nadia Belalia<a href="http://www.nadiabelalia.com/">Nadia Belalia</a> transforms old colanders into gorgeous pendant lamps that resemble flowers and other organic forms. The recycled lights can be fitted with low-energy LED bulbs, and the colanders' perforated screens cast dancing shadows upon nearby surfaces.6
Live Screen by Danielle Trofe<a href="http://danielletrofe.com/">Danielle Trofe</a> showcased her <a href="http://danielletrofe.com/livescreen/">Live Screen</a> - an elegant indoor gardening solution that infuses dreary spaces with a breath of fresh air. The planter system uses hydroponic technology to grow healthy plants indoors all year-round.7
Enlightened Table by Deger Cengiz<a href="http://www.versadome.com/">Deger Cengiz</a>'s Enlightened Table is a playful multifunctional design that combines a small side table with an energy-efficient LED lamp - perfect for setting next to your favorite reading chair.8
Flat Pack Coral Pendant Lamps by David Trubridge<a href="http://www.davidtrubridge.com/">David Trubridge</a> unveiled a flurry of fresh new lamps at <a href="http://2012.wanteddesignnyc.com/">Wanted Design</a>. Shown here is a hanging array of his flat-pack pendant lamps, which are now available in smaller sizes.9
Aluminum Coral Lamp by David Trubridge<a href="http://www.davidtrubridge.com/">David Trubridge</a> also launched a new line of flat-pack aluminum coral lamps, which are suitable for use outside.10
Baskets of Knowledge by David Trubridge<a href="http://www.davidtrubridge.com/">David Trubridge</a>'s Baskets of Knowledge lamps were inspired by a Maori creation myth that states the gods gave humans three baskets containing the knowledge they needed to live on earth.11
Modular Ceramic Planters by Andrew Erdle at iget.it Pop Up StoreThe <a href="http://iget.it/">iget.it </a> pop-up shop was filled with a variety of clever design finds - we loved these modular ceramic planters by Andrew Erdle.12
Soho Desk by My Project<a href="http://mybrandnyc.com/">My Project</a> showcased its Soho Collection, featuring an American-made table that comes with all kinds of tricks up its sleeve. The multifunctional desk has an integrated hanging file system, a pop-up plank that hides space for cable management, and a built-in bookshelf13
Birdhouses by Plywood Office<a href="http://www.plywoodoffice.us/">Plywood Office</a> strung up a series of <a href="http://www.plywoodoffice.us/work/birds-house">cute bird houses</a> made from pine.14
