Live Screen By Danielle TrofeThe award-winning Live Screen by Danielle Trofe is not just another vertical garden, but a modern sculptural piece with built-in technology to help just about anyone to grow plants, herbs, flowers and more, inside. Spotted at Wanted Design at this year's New York Design Week, this project has got us digging its subtle yet multifaceted style!1
Live Screen By Danielle TrofeApart from enabling the integration of greenery into indoor living spaces, Live Screen is a stand-alone structure and does not need a wall for support.2
Live Screen By Danielle TrofeIt is also modular and can be easily customized to suit a space, as it varies in height, width, and number of pods.3
Live Screen By Danielle TrofeWhat is most interesting about this design is the use of hydroponics for the planting system. Hydroponics is a soilless method of growing plants, where in the plant draws it necessary nutrients from the water, thus totally eliminating the need to use soil.4
Live Screen By Danielle TrofeHydroponics is increasingly being used in agriculture these days due to its efficiency and sustainability.5
Live Screen By Danielle TrofeWith the Live Screen, the water is automatically distributed to the top tier through pumps and circulated by gravity.6
Live Screen By Danielle TrofeEach pod is also fitted with a LED light that not only offers ambient lighting, but ensures favorable conditions for the growth of plants.7
