Sadly, after over two decades of guidance, love and inspiration, Bakker is bidding adieu to DAE.

We are very sad to see Gijs Bakker (posing here for us with a T-shirt gift by "ex-designer", ex-DAE graduate <a title="Fantastic Works and Sad News at Design Academy of Eindhoven's Masters Graduation Show" href="http://www.guixe.com/" target="_blank">Martí Guixé</a>) leaving his <a title="Fantastic Works and Sad News at Design Academy of Eindhoven's Masters Graduation Show" href="http://www.designacademy.nl/News/tabid/2055/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/1540/Farewell-Gijs-Bakker.aspx" target="_blank">beloved job</a>. His departure is said to to be due to "discontent with educational reform plans under development". He is however very much looking forward seeing his new design-adventures. Good luck to Gijs!
