<a href="http://q-labo.info/work/000208.php">Q Architecture</a> is a gifted Japanese design studio that effortlessly infuses contemporary renovations with historical elegance. The Timeline Machiya House in Northern Kyoto was originally built as a traditional dwelling in the early 1900s. Since then a series of poorly-planned renovations corrupted the home's original integrity, so Q Architecture was commissioned to revive it after it lay dormant for 10 years.
