HektikFood Berlin Converted BusA vintage British <a href="http://inhabitat.com/photos-1970s-double-decker-bus-in-berlin-transformed-into-mobile-kiosk/" target="_blank">double-decker bus</a> has found a new home in East Berlin. Called <a href="http://www.hektikfood.de/#" target="_blank">hektikfood</a>, the iconic red vehicle has been transformed into a unique takeaway restaurant, serving up fresh snacks and sandwiches. Diners can relax in their makeshift garden, or venture upstairs to eat on the bus' second floor!1
HektikFood Berlin Converted BusLocated in the eclectic Friedrichshain neighborhood, the<a href="http://inhabitat.com/colossal-retrofitted-london-double-decker-bus-does-pushups-for-the-london-games/" target="_blank"> bright red double-decker </a>is parked amongst a complex of artist studios and nightclubs.2
HektikFood Berlin Converted BusThe entire first floor of the vintage mobile (which is sixty years old!) has been converted into the restaurant’s kitchen.3
HektikFood Berlin Converted BusOpening onto the parking lot in which it is parked, guests can order tasty sandwiches (with <a href="http://inhabitat.com/8-scrumptious-vegan-bbq-recipes-for-summer/" target="_blank">vegan friendly</a> options!) from the side of the bus, which has been cutaway to form a counter.4
