The private member club sits on a lush island in the 125 hectare Overseas Chinese Town Harbour district, offering a serene garden escape expertly designed by SWA. The <a href="http://inhabitat.com/mad-architects-complete-passive-solar-ordos-museum-inspired-by-the-gobi-desert/" target="_blank">louvered façade</a> is made up of white metal panels that filter in sunlight and offer privacy to those looking to retreat from the bustle of Shenzhen.

The beautiful complex offers members a <a href="http://inhabitat.com/patrick-blancs-lush-vertical-garden-is-a-green-oasis-in-the-middle-of-madrid/" target="_blank">serene respite</a> from the adjacent metropolis.

Forming a natural courtyard, the clubhouse is landscaped with gardens, ample trees, and private garden walks throughout the greenery, which also provide relief from the heat.

The beautiful gardens can even be seen inside from a glass encased <a href="http://inhabitat.com/badboot-the-worlds-largest-floating-swimming-pool-opens-today-in-antwerp/" target="_blank">lap pool</a> that connects the interior with exterior.

Inside, each light filled room is met with large skylights and lined with <a href="http://inhabitat.com/m-and-s-store-in-cheshire-oaks-redefines-the-benchmark-for-sustainable-architecture-in-uk/" target="_blank">glass curtain walls</a>.

The glazed walls block solar gain, as well as gently filter light through the aluminum louver pieces. Intersecting trapezoidal forms filter in daylight at optimal angles. The feeling of lightness throughout the complex is also enhanced by the open air atriums throughout.

The trapezoidal forms are met with a half circle shape <a href="http://inhabitat.com/lundgaard-and-tranbergs-tietgenkollegiet-dorm-is-the-coolest-circular-housing-on-campus/" target="_blank">facing the water</a>. This creates a natural plaza for members to sit and enjoy the view, as well as the breeze off of the water. A restaurant and gallery add some cultural flair for members, and a state of the art fitness center joins an indoor pool for ultimate health and relaxation.
