The Pool Shophouse FARM and KD ArchtiectsThis narrow 1920s shophouse in Singapore was converted into a modern-day residence dominated by a monolithic lap pool stretched along the ground floor. The Pool Shophouse was designed in collaboration between <a href="http://www.farm.sg/" target="_blank">FARM</a> and <a href="http://www.kdarchitects.net/" target="_blank">KD Architects</a>, who decided to bring <a href="http://inhabitat.com/sculptural-lago-vista-house-in-los-angeles-is-bathed-in-soft-natural-light/" target="_blank">natural light</a> into the interior by creating small gaps between the staircases and the exposed brick walls of the original building.1
