ARCHI7’s Prefab MMR House is Made from Recycled Materials and Features Brilliant Interiors

Swiss design firm <a title="ARCHI7’s Boost Simple Recycled Materials Home With Using Brilliant Color Shades" href="http://www.archi7.ch/" target="_blank">ARCHI7</a> designed this prefabricated single-family home in the Swiss town of Réchy, which looks rather ordinary from outside, but the interior is a totally different story. Using <a title="ARCHI7’s Boost Simple Recycled Materials Home With Using Brilliant Color Shades" href="http://inhabitat.com/stepped-rotterdam-central-library-opens-its-own-green-roof-and-beehive/" target="_blank">natural light,</a> bright colors and plenty of local and recycled materials, the MMR house looks like a great home to hide out in during long, dark Swiss winters.

Built as a single compact volume, this family home only uses a small piece of its land, creating its own private space and getting sunshine from very side.

Prefab, its exteriors are cladded with local Mélèze and its interiors with low-cost recycled OSB.

Big windows and skylights all around the house fill the house with natural light, fresh breeze and stunning views out to the Swiss mountains.

Bold colors, translucent doors and plenty of hidden storage helps creating airy, clean and decluttered interiors.

The concrete flooring is very practical, as it’s long lasting, cheap and very efficient for keeping the heat inside the house.

ARCHI7’s has managed to create a modern no-frills home in a brilliant simple way.
