When <a href="http://www.ruraldesign.co.uk">Rural Design</a> was contracted to build a site-sensitive home on the Isle of Skye, they initially thought it would be impossible to come up with a proposal that wouldn't disrupt the ancient landscape. They persevered, however and built this tiny timber Fiscavaig House that <a href="http://inhabitat.com/tag/house-on-stilts/">rests on slits</a> to minimize its environmental impact.
