AutoDesk Milano-Goring & StrajaAutodesk just unveiled its new digs in Milan, and we love the brightly lit office space and their green interior decor. Designed by local firm Goring & Straja, Autodesk Milano is a LEED Gold certified office space. To built it, they revamped an entire condo complex and outfitted it with tons of eco strategies and furnishings. Autodesk's goal was to achieve a high level of sustainability while adding lots of Italian flair - and it looks like they hit their mark.1
AutoDesk Milano-Goring & StrajaRevamping an existing condominium complex, Goring & Straja crafted a new 850 sq m (9,150 sq ft) office space for Autodesk in Milan.2
AutoDesk Milano-Goring & StrajaTheir first goal was to make the new space as sustainable as possible.3
AutoDesk Milano-Goring & StrajaThey achieved this by incorporating large windows on one side of the office that flood the space with natural light.4
AutoDesk Milano-Goring & StrajaThe project also takes advantage of energy-efficient lighting, occupancy sensors, low-VOC finishes and furniture, and low-flow plumping fixtures.5
AutoDesk Milano-Goring & StrajaThe team reused many of the building's existing elements like the wood floors, the ceiling and the wall-mounted radiant panels.6
AutoDesk Milano-Goring & StrajaIn addition, over 40% of the materials were manufactured within 500 miles of the project, over 25% of the materials are made from recycled content and over 80% of the construction waste was recycled.7
AutoDesk Milano-Goring & StrajaStaying true to the project's Italian roots, Autodesk wanted the office to be a showcase for local design.8
