Contact 1: Incredible Space Age City Made From 200,000 LEGO Bricks

<a href="http://inhabitat.com/alice-finch-creates-amazing-hogwarts-replica-from-400000-lego-bricks/" target="_blank">LEGO master</a> <a href="//mikedoylesnap.blogspot.com" target="_blank">Mike Doyle</a> is at it again with his fantastic <a href="http://inhabitat.com/10-foot-tall-replica-of-the-trump-tower-made-with-65000-legos/" target="_blank">LEGO architecture skills</a>. For his latest project, the designer used over 200,000 <a href="http://inhabitat.com/tag/lego/">LEGO bricks</a> to create a sprawling Sci-Fi city called Contact 1! Meshing Doyle’s love of <a href="http://www.lego.com/" target="_blank">LEGO</a>s, extra terrestrials and fantasy, the five-foot-high by six-foot-wide complex of futuristic towers is also available as an archival print over at his <a href="http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/mikedoyle/contact-1-a-200000-piece-lego-masterwork" target="_blank">Kickstarter campaign</a>.

<a href="http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/mikedoyle/contact-1-a-200000-piece-lego-masterwork" target="_blank">Contact 1</a> is the first project in a series that will imagine the creativity and beauty of intelligent life forms throughout the universe.

The futuristic metropolis took a whopping 600 hours to complete, and Doyle is offering detailed instructions on how to assemble the 200,000 piece masterpiece to raise funds to create the rest of the series.

The fantastical space-age city was inspired by spiritual and meditation centers from ancient cultures, and it features a myriad of turrets that stretch towards the stars.
