trashtemple2We generate so much trash on a daily basis that it wouldn't be surprising if future generations mistakenly thought that we actually worshipped all the garbage we toss into landfills. That's the idea behind <a href="http://salzigdesign.com/projekte/raum/temple-of-trash/salzigdesign-templeoftrash05.html" target="_blank">Salzig Design's</a> Temple of Trash, a temporary structure built in a Rotterdam, Netherlands port area as part of the 2007 <a href="http://www.follydock.com/ENG/">Follydock Festival</a>. The waste-filled walls of the temple are constructed <strong>100 tons</strong> of <a href="http://www.inhabitat.com/2009/05/26/plastiki-boat-made-of-plastic-bottles-prepares-to-set-sail/" target="_blank">PET bottles</a> pressed into bales!1
