Three-storey chimneys funnel geothermal energy into award-winning Perth home

    Studio <a href="http://iredalepedersenhook.com/">Iredale Pedersen Hook</a> wrapped Perth's Applecross Residence in a traditional building material that dates back as fas as 7000BC: <a href="http://inhabitat.com/?s=bricks&amp;_=1482343697">bricks</a>. The glazed blocks were assembled in new ways, at an angle or to form shadings that elegantly filter out excess daylight. Powered by geothermal energy, the home's fluid body pays homage to the nearby Swan River.
