    With origins as an outdoor adventure company, <a href="http://www.brooklynoutfitters.com/">Brooklyn Outfitters</a> (BKO) is now expanding into the gear category. Best of all, they're doing it locally. Their <a href="http://www.brooklynoutfitters.com/gear/">first products</a> include two packs sized appropriately for day or multi-day hikes and come in black and red. The affordable packs are designed and handmade in Brooklyn by the company's guides, ensuring they are highly functional and can withstand harsh outdoor conditions.
