Leo Villareal Bleecker StreetCommuters passing through Manhattan's Bleecker street station might feel like they've stepped into a rave, but the flashing fluorescent tubes overhead aren't glowsticks - they're actually a series of color-changing LED light tubes called "Hive" by artist <a href="http://inhabitat.com/nyc/leo-villareal-to-create-giant-glowing-led-buckyball-for-madison-square-park/">Leo Villareal</a>. The MTA commissioned Villareal, who is known for working with light, to create the striking LED sculpture as part of the city's <a href="http://www.mta.info/mta/aft/">Arts for Transit</a> initiative. The folks over at <a href="http://ny.curbed.com/archives/2012/07/31/blinged_out_bleecker_street_station_has_colorchanging_lights.php">Curbed</a> recently took a sneak peak at the station's "blingy" new ceiling, and were kind enough to share some of <a href="http://ny.curbed.com/archives/2012/07/31/blinged_out_bleecker_street_station_has_colorchanging_lights.php">their photos</a> with us.7
