
Urban Alloy Towers was also designed to use the “remnant spaces” of the surrounding intersection and elevated LIRR tracks. As such, those parts of the building extend outwards towards the street. From above, the towers sort of resemble a cross that’s been laid over the city streets.

The interior of the building, features a variety of housing types, plus retail space and commercial offices. There are also plans to build an expansive atrium for visitors to look down and see the transit hub from the center of the retail area. It’s rather unlikely that we’ll ever see the Urban Alloy Towers become a reality, but it’s certainly a unique and interesting design.
