Santiago Calatrava’s Oculus World Trade Center transportation hub slated to open in June

Another section of Santiago Calatrava's highly controversial Oculus Hub is set to open in June, allowing pedestrian traffic to flow through the north-south passageway that connects the PATH platforms to new entrances at Vesey and Liberty Streets.

The massive structure has been a topic of hot debate since its inception.

Construction began on the 800,000-square-foot structure in early 2013.
