60 Water’s spectacular roof deck would be the perfect spot to watch July 4th fireworks – if you lived there

If you're scrambling to find the perfect waterfront spot to watch tomorrow night's <a href="http://www.nycgo.com/events/macys-fourth-of-july-fireworks1">July 4th Spectacular</a>, perhaps you should think about leasing a new apartment at <a href="http://60water.com/">60 Water Street</a> in DUMBO. <a href="http://twotreesny.com/">Two Trees</a> recently unveiled the rooftop deck of its <a href="http://www.ilarch.com/">Ismael Leyva</a>- and <a href="http://www.leeser.com/">LEESER Architect</a>-designed apartment building, and with its lofty perch overlooking Brooklyn Bridge Park and the East River, it looks like the perfect fireworks viewing venue. If some of the elements of the 6,000-square-foot rooftop garden look familiar, that's because it was designed by <a href="http://www.fieldoperations.net/home.html" target="_blank">James Corner Field Operations</a>, the landscape architecture firm behind the <a href="http://inhabitat.com/nyc/tag/highline/" target="_blank">High Line</a>'s world-famous design. Although they were temporarily removed to make room for the white furniture that was brought in for the reveal party, over-sized wooden lounge chairs will also be available for sunning and relaxing.

The far end of the deck features an eye-tricking mirrored pavilion that reflects the sky and views for an even more dramatic effect.

The building features a green roof on a portion of its roof that absorbs stormwater and helps reflect heat away to regulate indoor temperatures.

Like the High Line, <a href="http://inhabitat.com/nyc/miniature-version-of-high-line-coming-to-roof-deck-of-new-dumbo-luxury-apartments/">60 Water Street</a>'s roof deck features "prairie-like" foliage and plants native to the NYC area.

We thoroughly enjoyed the rooftop's mirrored pavilion and its "selfie spot."

Imagine being able to walk out to this every day.

The building itself, designed by <a href="http://www.ilarch.com/">Ismael Leyva</a> and <a href="http://www.leeser.com/">LEESER Architect</a>, features many sustainable considerations and is shooting for LEED certification. The architects also took the community's concerns about compromising the openness of the waterfront into consideration.

The deck also has a soothing water feature.

"The idea was for the staggered glass fins on the facade to appear like a cloud," LEESER Architect principal <a href="http://www.leeser.com/profile/">Thomas Leeser</a> told us.
