Archtober 2015Cozy cardigans, apple picking and pumpkin spice everything are all reasons to love October, but there's another reason we look forward to the tenth month of the year here in New York City--and you're missing out if you haven't heard about it yet. Organized by the Center for Architecture and American Institute of Architects New York Chapter (AIANY), Archtober is a month-long festival of architecture and design spanning all five boroughs with a full schedule of talks, tours and exhibitions celebrating our built environment. Whether you're a designer, architect or just someone who appreciates the beauty and functionality of the structures we live, work, and play in, there's something for everyone to enjoy. We rounded up some of Archtober's can't-miss events, from tours through some of the city's most sustainable buildings to a boozy LEGO building competition to a day of giving back through design. Read on to get all of these on your calendar!1
