DDG’s new Tribeca condos wrap modern green features within a traditional brick facade

New York-based <a href="http://ddgpartners.com/projects/100-franklin/" target="_blank">DDG Partners</a> is putting a modern spin on the traditional brick facade with their forthcoming condominium building in Tribeca. Although construction hasn't begun yet, the design is anticipating LEED certification thanks to its numerous <a href="http://inhabitat.com/nyc/tag/green-design/" target="_blank">green features</a> including a green roof and eco-friendly cleaning program, among many other eco-amenities.

Located on 100 Franklin Street in the East Historic District, the six-story building will contain residential units with commercial space on the ground floor.

As far as design, the architects are paying a respectful nod to the area's rich history by featuring a hand-laid brick facade using traditional masonry techinques.

Once inside, however, the modern architectural details will include numerous green features such as a green roof system, green marquee, green cleaing program, etc.

Additionally, future residents will be able to enjoy a private fitness center, private elevator access to all residences, and bicycle storage rooms.

Residents will also have access to a landscaped green roof and private terraces.
