
Renter Amelia Nicholas refers to her apartment’s design style as “equal parts modern, industrial, glam and cozy.” White walls contrast with the dark “hammered silver” statement wall, separating the dining area from the living room. The apartment also has a few alcoves that are also help to define the distinct spaces.

As with many tiny homes, one of the biggest design hurdles in designing this compact apartment was giving the space a strong personal character. Two large windows help give the apartment an open, airy feel that complements the eclectic mix of understated, yet sophisticated furniture pieces, many of which were found in thrift stores or flea markets. Using strong patterns and varying textures throughout the space also helped to create a cozy and bespoke living area.
