BIOS-FIN is a light filtering, greywater purifying, bioenergy producing building facade concept. Inspired by salt flats that change color due to different strains of algae and bacteria colonies at different salinity periods, Charles Lee played with the idea of tiered cleaning pools installed onto a building’s face. Not only would the system block light, generate energy and clean water, it would also be a lovely and distinctive exterior feature.
