Bangkok-based Dots Design Studio makes handcrafted bicycles with glorious timber parts. Their PLYbike is made from strong stripy pieces of sandwiched wood veneer. The bikes are perfect for taking a spin around town, they were recently showcased at this year’s Milan Design Week.
Thai Dots Design Studio is a multidisciplinary creative hub that uses materials such as metal and wood to create a wide variety of products. The studio combines product, communication and interior designers with project strategists all under one roof. Based in Bangkok, Thailand, it’s led by designers Krit Phutpim, Kawin Wongviriya and Theerasak Techakitkhachon.

The studio’s stylish plywood bikes feature Brooks seats and brilliant copper-plated parts that will age gracefully with time. The handcrafted bikes also feature fantastic curvy handlebars made from layered oak, teak and walnut. Riders can choose between Bull Horn and Vintage Style bars to match their personal preference.
