Exactly one hundred years ago one of the most interesting vehicles you could see on the city streets of NYC was the so called Auto Ped. This used to be the official transport vehicle of the NYC postmen, fashion conscious wealthy women and the NYC mobsters. Now, one hundred years later the Smart Ped has come out on Kickstarter. It’s the world’s first legal e-kick bike. It’s well designed, has great functionality and is packed with forward thinking sensors. Also it is the only kick scooter with a so called “kick assist” which means you only have to kick once to turn on the smart electric motor, which automatically adds momentum and extends your ride.
