“LMNOP’s mission is to provide networking opportunities that are productive, relevant, fun,” said Jack Weisberg, Jennifer Graham and Michelle Hill of LMNOP. “With the ABC Challenge, we offered this opportunity to our colleagues within the A&D community to tap into their creative instincts. When we challenge the community to be inspired, it becomes a conduit to share our best. Using re-purposed materials as part of the criteria is a positive addition to the creative process and forces us to view the world through a new lens.”
Judge’s Choice winner “3Q” by Blanca Arregoitia, Cepp Selgas, and Armando Guiller set out “to create a mobile that depicts balance between human kind and nature with a mobile made of twigs from Arregiotia’s yard and common office paper clips.”
“GLOBAL PRODUCTION. A CONVEYOR BELT OF GREED. NEW YORK CONSUMPTION” by Jane Bae and Chris Blackadder of Scott Brownrigg took home the People’s Choice award. “The concept for our mobile comes from the idea that the whole world provides for New York City and consumers here just pick from all available, after which remains of consumption are regurgitated as waste…a conveyor belt of consumption,” said Bae and Blackadder of their design.
Congratulations to the winners and we look forward to what LMNOP will come up with for their next recycled materials challenge.
