Mission Motorcycles just announced that it is rolling out its latest all-electric superbikes – the Mission R and Mission RS. Both motorcycles are now available on reserve at select dealerships, and each bike can accelerate from zero to sixty in just three seconds with zero emissions. The EVs are aiming to be the highest performing street-legal production electric motorcycles in the world.
Motorcyclists with a need for speed, get ready for a thrilling emission-free ride. Both the R and RS can reach race-worthy speeds of 130 mph and 150 mph respectively. The R is geared toward the sport bike market, with a 120kW electric motor combined with Mission Motorcycles’ signature InfiniteDrive powertrain. The bike’s streamlined electric motor produces 163.2 horsepower, but it doesn’t require hundreds of spinning engine parts so the ride is smoother and navigation is easier. The engine is one-tenth the weight of a traditional internal combustion engine, which translates to incredible performance – the bike can travel a quarter-mile in just 10.492 seconds, and it has a real-world range of 105-140 miles, depending on options chosen.
The RS is a limited edition model for the racing bike connoisseur – Mission Motorcycles is only producing forty bikes in this line. The RS is built for racing at top speed – it shattered lap records at Laguna Seca, with a margin of 40 seconds. The RS features the same InfiniteDrive powertrain used in the R model, although its top speed is a much faster 150+ mph. Both models will soon be available, upping the bar for electric racing vehicles.
